From wide eyes making him look about to attack to satisfied little grins when he thinks he’s got the upper hand, Vane manages to impress in just a few minutes thanks to Matulis’ commitment to the part. The camera makes sure to capture subtle changes in Matoulis’ eyes and mouth as tension builds towards the drawing of the weapons.
