Girum Ermias Gebreselassie is a leading Ethiopian movie actor, writer and director.
Born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on March 16th, 1978, Girum found his talent in the arts at an early age. He has made more than fifteen movies that are widely favored by the Ethiopian public and international audiences world wide. Respecting the profession, Girum accepts movie scripts very consciously, selecting only those roles that have a high social impact and are informative, educational, and professional in terms of script writing, continuity, and story line. What makes Girum outstanding is how he challenges himself in selecting and performing well in several characters and still favored and convinced audience that he can play the role.
Girum is a husband and father of two children. He got his basic education from Alem Maya Primary School and high school at Addis Ketema High School and Ayer Tena High School. He also holds degrees in script writing (film), acting, directing, and an advance diploma from the Hollyland Art Academy in Ethiopia. Girum boasts of a physical appearance of 1.85 meters in height (6'1" feet) and 75 kilograms (165 lbs) in weight. He has brown eyes and black hair.
