Ghostbusters 4 may be set to move the location from New York, but the famous firehouse will continue to play a role in the franchise.

In new photos from the movie’s set, Jason Reitman teased a tantalizing look at the new firefighter’s set.
Ghostbusters Fans weren’t happy trying to reboot the franchise back in 2016, when Melissa McCarthy led a gender-swap ghost-busting team to take down some very neon fantasies and a Marshmallow Man-sized version of the iconic Ghostbusters logo. For this reason, the return of the franchise’s original stars, original director Ivan Reitman as producer and his son Jason Reitman’s directing was always going to produce something much more satisfying for long-term fans than any reboot ever could.

While many believed that the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife It would take the story back to bustling New York City, and it looks like that won’t quite be the case and the franchise may be about setting up a spin-off of the rumored Ghostbusters universe to be released soon.
Despite the post-credits scene Ghostbusters: Afterlife It included a fire tease, and Reitman’s new post indicating that there will definitely be some movie set there. Previous reports about the sequel claimed that the main story would take place in London, UK. The reports said:
“The studio executives take a classic franchise, and put it in a new location while maintaining the magic of the original. It’s going to be great. Ghostbusters has always been synonymous with New York, but to mix things up this time the team was thinking of other great cities with haunted histories. London is perfect. It gives a lot of “Licenses for a look at classic landmarks and British history, but still in an urban setting. The plans look absolutely fantastic, and getting the interest of the original stars wasn’t difficult. They all love the movies and look back on them very fondly.”
Wherever the main site is, the news that Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, and Dan Aykroyd, along with Sigourney Weaver, have all signed on to come back again should be enough to ensure that ghost hunters 4 It offers another entry in the franchise that will be transported into the hearts of fans upon its release in December 2023.
