Demon King Ganondorf is Link’s main opponent in Kingdom’s Tears
After obtaining the restored form of the iconic Master Sword, Link can finally head towards his final confrontation with the Demon King, Ganondorf in Kingdom Tears. Despite the crowded arena, this is ultimately a one-on-one battle between the two characters. Ganondorf wields a full arsenal of weapons and spells in a fairly straightforward battle, which causes Link to simply drain the opponent’s health bar. However, once the task at hand is complete, the Demon King introduces a new trick, transforming himself into the Demon Dragon, a much greater threat against Link in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomend. Fortunately, Hylian Knight is not alone in the upcoming battle.
Connect the demonic dragon faces with the help of Zelda in Kingdom’s Tears
Once Ganondorf transforms into a Demon Dragon, Zelda’s current dragon form also comes into battle, aiding Link in fighting it. When teleported to the past at the start of the game, Zelda eventually explores Hyrule in its former glory and witnesses the kingdom’s struggle against Ganondorf, who is then sealed. She then willingly performs a spell to become a dragon – in the process losing herself – the purpose of which is to help Link retrieve the Master Sword for the time being, the ultimate goal being to defeat Ganondorf’s revived form in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomend.
During the battle, when Link is pinned to Zelda’s head, players can actually control the Light Dragon for a brief period. It is possible to control its trajectory and allow Link to take advantage of the upper ground. The strategy behind the encounter is to fly higher than Demon Dragon Ganondorf and then jump down onto his body to destroy the many invasions of the Eyes of Malice scattered across it. In this battle, Zelda will assist Link by throwing her dragon’s body against the multiple projectiles that the Demon Dragon spits out, helping him avoid incoming damage.
Once all the eyes of malice pervading the creature’s body have been destroyed, Zelda: Tears of the KingdomThe end begins to happen. Link is commanded to strike the demon dragon on the secret stone placed on its head, and in doing so, finally defeats Ganondorf. The Demon King has been destroyed and is no longer a threat to Hyrule. Immediately after the fight, Zelda’s dragon form is weakened by her participation in the battle, and Link attempts to rescue the Princess of Hyrule.
Link restores Zelda to her original form in Kingdom’s Tears
Using the power of his arm given to him by Rauru, Link extends it to focus the energy to heal the dragon. When he does, both Rauru and Hylia’s spiritual projections appear and give him extra energy. This makes the dragon’s body disappear, returning the spell and restoring Zelda’s original Hylian form Kingdom Tearsend. Throughout the game, it is understood that the dragon spell that Zelda willingly pledged to help Link retrieve the Master Sword is irreversible. However, with the blessings of the kingdom’s founders, it was undone.
Once Zelda’s original body is restored, Link’s right arm returns to normal, leaving traces of Rauru’s touch behind. This could mean that the gods have meticulously planned everything, from Ganondorf’s defeat to how Link plays a direct role in Zelda’s recovery from an unbreakable spell. Rauru and Helia then hold hands and gently disappear, disintegrating the arena Zelda and Link are in while Kingdom Tearsend. The next scene players witness is Link falling from high into the sky and waking up in the middle of autumn.
Link then sees Zelda in the distance, falling under him, though she is unconscious. He then proceeds to quickly dive into the air in order to reach her. Once Link reaches Zelda, he hugs her tightly, and they fall into a small lake on the continent. Soon after, he is seen carrying her unconscious body out of the water and placing her in a field of grass. Zelda then awakens in surprise to see that Link is alive and well, coming to the conclusion that he was truly able to defeat Ganondorf, the Demon King, and that her sacrifice proved worthless.
Zelda proceeds to explain that she woke up when she felt “a warm and loving hug, which was likely when Link caught her as she fell – or a more poetic metaphor for Link, Hylia, and Rauru turning her back to her original form. Zelda also mentions that during her journey into the past, she was able to see Hyrule in her former glory and meet different people, and that She has a lot to tell Link. After this, Zelda: Tears of the KingdomThe finale has been reached, concluding Link’s main mission of finding Princess Zelda.
As is the case in Breath of the WildPlayers can then continue to play the game and explore its vast open world, but it has a save point right before the encounter with Ganondorf, the Demon King. The save file is also marked with a star to show that the end of the campaign has been reached, even though the save file is thrown in the moments before a fight.
Although fighting against Ganondorf results in his defeat, it is uncertain if Link is actually able to end the villain’s cycle of reincarnation. If he did, he probably would Kingdom Tears is really the last game in this particular version of the franchise’s story. If Link doesn’t completely wipe out the chances of Ganon returning, it’s likely that he will eventually return to pose a threat against Hyrule once again. in true zelda fashion, Zelda: Tears of the KingdomThe ending leaves some questions unanswered, though there is a satisfying conclusion to the current arc.
