Years later, he finds that the Judas bugs have survived and evolved into something even more terrifying: six-foot-tall winged insects that taste human blood. in Simulated sound and motion, director Guillermo del Toro cranks up the tension throughout the film, with plenty of ambiguous shots obscuring who or what lies outside the frame. There’s plenty of blood and bugs, and an intense final action showdown that takes place in the tunnels of an abandoned subway station.
